Backends that don't
buckle under scale.
I'm Biagio, a Lead Backend Engineer who turns tangled systems into clean, observable, production-grade architecture. Python, Django, FastAPI and LLMs are my daily bread.
From courtroom to codebase.
I trained as a jurist (a degree in criminal law, summa cum laude), but I'd been coding since 13 and eventually coded my way out of law entirely. Became a judge? Hell no.
Since then I've shipped through the web3 and legal-tech trenches, built eHealth / FHIR servers, and put production LLMs to work in commercial insurance. Today I lead a team automating everything in sight, and I maintain open-source software without compromises.
I care about clean architecture, ruthless testing, and shipping things that hold up at 3 a.m. Frontend? I delegate. 🙂
At a glance
God-mode stack.
The tools I reach for without thinking, plus the broader kit I bring when a project needs it.

Where I've shipped.
Lead Engineer · Complexio
Leading a team building enterprise AI automations. Juggling LLMs and automating everything in sight.
Founder & Lead Engineer · letsrevel.io
Building and maintaining awesome FOSS without compromises. Django, Postgres, Redis, Docker, the usual suspects.
Lead Backend Engineer · Keyring
Rewrote a core backend from spaghetti to clean, scalable Django for zero-knowledge regulatory infrastructure.
Senior Backend Engineer · Cytora
Core dev on the LLM team in commercial insurance. Rebuilt the LLM service to run in under 100MB RAM. Not a joke.
Senior Backend Developer · Black Tusk
Production FHIR servers and eHealth systems with Django & FastAPI. Test coverage was a religion.
Got a backend that deserves better?
I'm selective about what I take on, but if it's interesting and hard, I'm listening.
